VMware Migration Specialist / Architect (Consultant)

Binariks is looking for a highly motivated and skilled VMware Migration Specialist / Architect specialized in design and executing end-to-end migration strategies. He/She will play a key role in helping organizations to move from VMware-based infrastructure to the cloud securely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware technologies: vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX, vSAN


• Proven track record of VMware-to-cloud workload migrations (AWS, Azure, GCP)


• In-depth knowledge of cloud networking (VPC, VNet), security (IAM, Security Groups), and storage concepts


• Proven experience with backup, DR, and business continuity planning in VMware and cloud


• Experience with cloud cost optimization and TCO analysis


• Proficiency in scripting languages (like Python, PowerShell etc)


• Proved experience in a client facing role such as Architect, advisor, consultant, technical presales


• Upper-intermediate level of English

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess and analyse existing VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX, vSAN)


• Design and implement migration strategies (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, hybrid, multi-cloud)


• Plan and execute workload migrations using tools such as VMware HCX, AWS/Azure/GCP VMware Solutions


• Architect target cloud environments (compute, storage, networking, security, DR)


• Ensure workload performance, cost optimization, and compliance after migration


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, Networking) during migration


• Document architectures, migration plans, and post-migration lessons learned


• Execute migrations using tools like VMware HCX, Azure Migrate, and AWS MGN


• Automate cloud environment provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible


• Lead client discovery sessions and present technical migration plans to stakeholders


• Provide detailed tradeoff analysis and migration benefits based on different offers (Nutanix, AWS, Azure etc.)


• Develop scripts (Python/PowerShell) to automate migration validation and clean-up tasks

Will be a plus

• VMware certifications (e.g. VCP-DCV, VCP-NSX)


• Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional)


• Experience with Azure VMware Solution, AWS VMware Solution, Google Cloud VMware Engine


• Experience with cloud-native migration tools (Azure Migrate, AWS MGN)


• Practical experience with Nutanix AHV and Nutanix management tools (Prism, Calm, Flow)


• Practical experience with Proxmox 


• Knowledge of DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code.


• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (ISO, GDPR, etc.)
