Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Onsite) in Remote (USA)

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Onsite) with experience in healthcare to join a project focused on wireless health monitoring for pregnant persons and newborns. The solution includes wearable devices, AI-powered analytics, and cloud-based software designed to improve access to health data and clinical insights.
This is an onsite position with opportunity to attend office in Chicago.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with strong hands-on testing experience in web and server-based systems

  • Experience testing web applications, including frontend interfaces and backend APIs, preferably involving clinical or data-driven workflows

  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MySQL, Redis, and Kafka

  • Solid understanding of client-server architecture, HTTP communication, and API testing principles

  • Experience validating systems deployed in on-premise, air-gapped, or hybrid environments

  • Strong experience with defect tracking, test documentation, and test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr)

  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills

Your Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end test planning, execution, and documentation

  • Design and execute functional, integration, and regression testing across web applications, APIs, and backend services

  • Perform manual testing of clinical workflows, UI components, and data synchronization across devices and browsers

  • Verify the end-to-end data pipeline, including wearable sensors, central platform components, and hospital integration systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity

  • Execute testing in regulated and restricted environments, including air-gapped networks

  • Support release readiness activities, build verification testing, and validation of software updates

  • Log and track defects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to root cause analysis and QA process improvement

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare and quality standards (e.g., HIPAA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304) through risk-based testing and traceability practices

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve QA tooling, automation practices, and CI testing workflows

  • Participate in design discussions and sprint planning to ensure testability of new features

Will Be a Plus:

  • Experience with test automation frameworks (pytest, Selenium, Robot Framework)

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • Experience in medical devices, digital health, or clinical data platforms

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity validation or secure deployment testing

  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)

  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and interoperability standards, including HIPAA, GDPR, IEC 62304, HL7, FHIR, and IEEE 11073
