Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Backend oriented) in Remote (Ukraine)

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with extensive experience in backend testing to help ensure the quality of a sophisticated healthcare solution.
Our project is a healthcare data platform for Medicare patient management. It addresses the problem of fragmented medical data across healthcare facilities by consolidating information into a complete, readable patient chart for providers and staff. Ultimately, it enables advanced intelligence use cases, helping healthcare providers deliver the highest quality of care.

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with extensive experience in backend testing to help ensure the quality of a sophisticated healthcare solution.

What We’re Looking For:
- 4–5 years of experience in manual testing, focusing on backend systems
- Proficiency in REST API testing, including request/response validation and error analysis
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with non-relative databases
- Experience working with JSON and Postman
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and integration testing
- Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English
- Writing and executing test cases and test plans
- Work with Cloud Console UI for backend testing: send messages to queues, validate correct payloads, retrieve responses, and ensure data flows properly across services
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs
- Validating API requests and responses, ensuring accuracy and proper error handling
- Performing integration testing within a microservices architecture
- Using advanced SQL skills (selects, joins, subqueries) to create and execute complex queries for data validation
- Collaborating with developers and stakeholders to understand requirements and identify potential issues
- Ability to analyze data structures in JSON and XML formats specific to FHIR
- Experience with FHIR or HL7 protocols
- Understanding of FHIR standards, including resource types, operations, profiles, and extensions
- Experience in establishing QA processes to introduce new practices and improvements to the team
