Senior PHP Engineer

We are looking for Senior PHP Engineer who will join our team. 
Our Customer  is a premier maritime training and licensing institution in the United States. For over 45 years, it has provided official U.S. Coast Guard-approved courses to individuals seeking captain's licenses and professional mariner certifications.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong knowledge of PHP 8.2+  and Laravel 9.x .
  


• Solid understanding of MySQL 8.4 and Redis.
  


• Experienced in working with Composer 
  


• Proficient in writing and maintaining unit and feature tests.


• Confident in using Git for version control and collaborative development.


• Strong knowledge of REST API.


• At least upper-Intermediate level of English.

Your Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with your squad to deliver high-quality solutions.


• Build scalable backend services mainly using PHP and Laravel.


• Champion BDD/DDD & OOP principles, ensuring our system design is robust and forward-thinking.


• Advocate for clean code and elevate best practices within the team.


• Pairing with other engineers to solve problems.


• Contribute to sprint goals and deliverables.


• Work closely with product and design to shape engineering-driven solutions.


• Contribute in technical discussions and architectural decisions.


• Share your knowledge and key learnings with others.
