About the project:
The customer is an innovative startup in the AI and public safety space. Although founded in 2023, the application is already used by over 50 police departments.Ā
The application helps to reduce mistakes, save time, improve community interactions, and foster a culture of continual learning. It ensures that officers on the street have swift access to vital information to make informed decisions on law, policy, and more. First responders speak or type questions, and the app finds and presents the best answers from department-approved documents.
As a Senior AQA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, tracking, and maintaining end-to-end(E2E) test suites for our Mobile(iOS/Android) and Web applications.
It is a part-time Contractor position with the opportunity of conversion to a full-time role in the future.
What Weāre Looking For:
- 5+ years of work experience in Quality Assurance
- Experience with E2E test automation frameworks such as Appium, Detox, Selenium, Playwright, etc.
- Strong knowledge of Git and version control best practices
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
- Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript and/or Python
- Experience writing and maintaining automated tests for mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing tools (e.g., AWS Device Farm, Firebase Test Lab)
- Experience with API testing frameworks (e.g., Postman, Swagger)
- Excellent communication skills in English
Your Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of mobile and web test automation infrastructure, leading the design, development, and management of robust end-to-end(E2E) test suites
- Write clear and structured test cases using tools like Appium, Playwright, and/or Detox.
- Develop basic scripts for tasks such as resetting test data and managing test environments to ensure reliable and repeatable automated testing
- Collaborate with engineers to expand and refine test suites to encompass new features and edge cases
- Work closely with engineers to integrate automated tests into existing CI/CD workflows
- Ensure automated tests run efficiently and consistently in the pipeline
- Debug and troubleshoot test failures, collaborating with the dev team to resolve issues
- Continuously track and analyze test coverage across mobile and web applications
- Identify untested areas and proactively plan & write new tests to improve coverage
- Maintain documentation on test coverage and automation strategy
- Provide insights on testing gaps, failures, and areas of risk to engineering teams
