Head of IT (located in Lviv) in Office (Lviv)

We're seeking a dynamic Head of IT to join our team. 

As Head of IT, you will lead and develop the company’s IT function, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure and services that support business operations, engineering teams, and company growth.

This role is ideal for someone with strong communication and leadership skills, hands-on technical expertise, and a desire to grow in the management and strategic direction of IT.

Please note: we consider candidates located in Lviv, as regular office presence is important for this role.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in IT leadership, IT management, or senior system administration roles.


  • Strong communication and organizational skills.


  • Experience managing or mentoring technical teams.


  • Strong self-management and ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.


  • Hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.



  • Experience with monitoring and observability systems such as:



    • Zabbix


    • Wazuh


    • Grafana





  • Strong networking knowledge and experience with infrastructure vendors such as:



    • Fortinet


    • Aruba Networks




  • Experience supporting corporate users and office infrastructure.


  • Experience working with IT vendors and procurement processes.



  • Experience with MDM and endpoint management systems such as:


    • ManageEngine Endpoint Central




  • Experience with:



    • BitLocker


    • FileVault


    • endpoint protection


    • firewall management


    • backup systems




  • Experience supporting security and compliance audits (ISO 27001, HITRUST, or similar).


  • Experience working with client security reviews and vendor security assessments.


  • Experience preparing audit evidence and supporting compliance processes.


  • Understanding of information security frameworks and corporate security practices.


  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.


  • Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.


  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced technology environment.


Will be a plus:

  • Experience in enterprise software development or finance domain;

  • Experience in the delivery of desktop, mobile, and web applications;

  • Experience of successful system integration projects.

Your Responsibilities:



  • IT Strategy & Operations



    • Develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with business and engineering needs.


    • Define department goals, priorities, and technology roadmaps.


    • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of IT systems and services.


    • Oversee office IT infrastructure, networks, end-user devices, cloud services, and internal systems.


    • Maintain and improve IT processes, documentation, and operational standards.


    • Plan and manage IT budgets, licenses, and technology investments.





  • Team Leadership & Management



    • Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team.


    • Manage system administrators, support engineers, and infrastructure specialists.


    • Organize task planning, delegation, prioritization, and performance evaluation.


    • Support team growth, motivation, and knowledge sharing.


    • Collaborate closely with engineering, HR, finance, legal, and business teams.





  • Infrastructure & Support



    • Manage corporate IT infrastructure, including networking, monitoring, endpoint management, and office systems.


    • Ensure smooth onboarding/offboarding processes and user support operations.


    • Oversee procurement of laptops, networking equipment, software, and IT services.


    • Manage inventory processes and asset lifecycle management.


    • Coordinate relationships with vendors, ISPs, and external technology partners.


    • Ensure uninterrupted office operations and support all critical office systems.





  • Security & Compliance



    • Ensure security of corporate infrastructure, endpoints, and company data.


    • Manage access control, endpoint protection, firewall policies, encryption, and backup systems.


    • Support implementation of security best practices and security awareness initiatives.


    • Participate in ISO 27001, HITRUST, and other security/compliance audits.


    • Collaborate with clients during security assessments and compliance reviews.


    • Assist in completion of security questionnaires, vendor assessments, and audit evidence collection.


    • Work closely with security, legal, and delivery teams to support customer compliance requirements.


    • Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and operational risk mitigation.





  • Process Improvement & Innovation



    • Experience in outsourcing or service-based companies working with enterprise clients.


    • Experience handling customer security questionnaires and compliance documentation.


    • Experience developing or improving information security policies.



    • Basic experience with cloud platforms such as:



      • Amazon Web Services


      • Microsoft Azure




    • Understanding of IT governance and cybersecurity best practices.


    • Experience with ITIL processes or service management frameworks.


    • Knowledge of DevOps environments and engineering infrastructure.


    • Intermediate or higher English level.


    • Certifications in infrastructure, cloud, or cybersecurity technologies.
