Cloud Infrastructure Architect (OVHcloud)
Binariks is looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect to support the modernization of a leading UK InsurTech SaaS platform.
Our client provides a cloud-native claims automation platform used by insurance companies to digitize and automate end-to-end claims processing. As part of their infrastructure strategy, they are evaluating a migration from AWS to a self-hosted / OVHcloud environment to reduce infrastructure costs while maintaining reliability, security, and scalability.
The engagement starts with architecture assessment and migration planning, with the potential to continue into implementation and platform optimization.
What We’re Looking For:

What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of Cloud Infrastructure / Platform Engineering experience (rather than a general DevOps engineer experience)
- Experience with OVHcloud.
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS.
- Experience designing or executing cloud-to-cloud migrations.
- Experience migrating workloads away from AWS managed services.
- Experience operating private cloud or self-hosted infrastructure.
- Production experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- Experience with Docker and containerized workloads.
- Deep understanding of networking, load balancing, DNS, VPNs, TLS, and security.
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong architectural and communication skills.
- Experience in regulated industries (Insurance)
- Lead the assessment of the existing AWS-based infrastructure and define a target architecture for migration to OVHcloud and self-hosted environments.
- Design cloud migration strategies, including workload discovery, dependency mapping, risk assessment, and phased migration planning.
- Architect highly available, secure, and cost-efficient platform solutions supporting a cloud-native SaaS product in the insurance domain.
- Evaluate and redesign platform components currently relying on AWS managed services, identifying suitable alternatives within OVHcloud or self-hosted infrastructure.
- Design and implement Kubernetes-based container platforms for production workloads, ensuring scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Define Infrastructure as Code standards and develop reusable Terraform modules for provisioning and managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Architect networking solutions including load balancing, DNS, VPN connectivity, traffic routing, TLS certificate management, and security controls.
- Design secure hybrid and multi-environment architectures supporting migration, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.
